
The Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit
Location
The Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit, located on the 1st floor of Building 8, has 12 rooms and 72 chairs.
Activities
The Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit provides anticancer chemotherapy as well as supportive and palliative treatments. Upon the order of the specialized MDs working at the Institute’s inpatient or outpatient departments, in accordance with professional guidelines, the outpatient chemotherapy treatments are provided for patients with all types of cancer. We are a centralized outpatient unit specialized in infusion therapy, therefore diagnostics and treatment decisions are not made here. The head and neck cancer patients is started to treat in our Department from 4. marc. 2019. in collaboration with the the Head and Neck Department.
The Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit participates in outpatient clinical pharmacology studies conducted at the Institute with the permit of the Directorate General of National Institute of Pharmacy (Országos Gyógyszerészeti és Élelmezés-egészségügyi Intézet – OGYÉI) in accordance with Guideline Sz 52.; with the permit and supervision of the investigator.
